Hillys Home Game 2008

Well this is a story,


Well as you know that there was Hilly the fish home game freerolls being played, well had played 2 of them on paradise and as per usual got busted out early or made close but not close enough well same for the third.

Anyway me and my dad had been playing these and he was able to make a final table appearance in the third freeroll and got to the last 4 with himself and Richard Scott and 2 Hungarians what the hell (UK TOURNAMENT).

So my dad and richard made a deal that who ever won would invite the other (fair Dos) so anyway Richard won it and invited the old man who asked Richard if there was a spare seat available i would be more than happy to come along well as you can tell yes that seat became available.

Turned up on the night of the home game where there were quite a few experienced players there me and dad looked at each other and thought well this will be a fun night ready to lose a bit of money, well it ended up being quite the opposite i won the first game which gave a London Final seat and the second game and dad won the third with me second.

Well the final came along six handed played for a total prize pool of £5000 well what a suprise i busted out in the first 10 minutes but still walking away with £500 for my troubles not bad going really.

Just a lesson i learnt that one and will do different in the Virgin Festival.

WPC 2008

Played the very first WPC Inside Poker Freeroll on 888 and was doing very very well was chip leader for most of the tournament.

As per usaul well as you guess got some real shit luck and ended up getting busted out of the tournament on the bubble and missing my chance of getting my top 10 finish and my seat into the Finalwith Inside poker on April 16th OH WELL!!!!!!

Then 2 weeks later started off really crap just couldn't get my chips above 3000 and suddenly all started to come together but still just scraped into the top 10 and now waiting for the Inside Poker Final on the 16th April joining my Mum and Dad who had already qualified.

Virgin Poker Festival Newcastle 2008

Played the very first freeroll for this a while ago, was pretty rocky start not much cards but stayed patient eventually got some cards and was able to make some headway towards getting a real stack behind me.

Anyway to cut a long story short was difficult but was able to get myself into a commanding position to make sure i made the top 10 and was rewarded with my first seat to a Live Final!!!!!
